My baby girl is 6 months! Can you believe it?? Half a year....I know it's cliche to say where has time gone, but seriously?! Where has time gone!? This month...
Weight: 18 lbs. 3 oz.
Height: 27 in.
She is loving eating solids and has enjoyed peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, peaches, and bananas. I am making the baby food so it's been fun to try some new things and give her fresh...it's baby food I'll actually taste!! She is also sitting up on her own, though sometimes she gives up and decides falling over is just easier! As we inch closer and closer to summer, Jani and I are having fun preparing! She loves going in her running stroller and taking runs with Doug and me. I'm hoping this can become a regular occurrence this summer! She really is a happy baby...the only time we hear her cry is when she's hungry. She will let anyone hold her and has smiles to give at all times! Love you Little Bug!!
Makes meal time oh so very fun!
What? Is my hair sticking up?
One night last week, Jani was out of sorts. She had a low grade fever, was crying constantly and could not be consoled by anything but being in my arms. After trying to put her in her bed for THREE hours, I finally gave in and laid with her in our bed. We both fell asleep and Doug captured the moment on film. She fell asleep with her hand on my cheek. This picture just makes me tear up...she melts my heart and has such unconditional love for us. Her hugs and smiles make any day brighter. A family bed is not for me, but I could definitely use a night like this every once in a while :)
We had Jani sitting on the deck table in her Bumbo. Pretty sure there's a warning right on the Bumbo that says not to put it on elevated surfaces. Does that make me a bad mom? :) But she LOVED it! The girl would be outside all day if she could. I can't wait for summer!
Dear Morning,
If you could try not to come so quickly, that would be greatly appreciated. I so love the few moments I get with my daughter in bed. Those last moments...before the sun rises...when our chests rise and fall together and I get to breathe in her sweet baby scent. This is my absolute favorite time of the day. The world stands still and I know that I need to enjoy each and every last drop of this goodness because too soon my baby won't be a baby anymore...
