The Next Jack Johnson...

So Doug took up the guitar last year. He has been teaching himself everything, with the help of a couple friends, and has really turned into quite the musician. We love to sit outside by the fire while he plays. I'm sure the neighbors love it too! We pimped out his guitar as well...it's his pride and joy...at least until the baby comes :)

13 weeks...

I can't even believe I am out of the first trimester!! Doug and I had another ultrasound this week and got to see the little bean going crazy. Guess it's not a bean anymore...we had an actual baby in there! And for your viewing pleasure...a belly pic :)

Morning Sickness?

I always knew I was different. The "typical" pregnant woman experiences morning sickness. I have turned it around and experience "all night" sickness. Doug doesn't quite know what to do with me!! He's feeling like his normal self again so he's back to caring for me. I have to admit it's nice :)

Other than that, we're doing good. Trying to finish up the semester and Doug is just trying to get caught up at school. We're gearing up for the ever-exciting season that is graduation season. Bring on the food...I'm pumped!

Big News....

I'm pregnant!!! Doug and I hate when people say "We're pregnant" because Doug is most definitely not pregnant :) (though I hear sympathy weight is inevitable). We are doing pretty well, though the scare with Doug's appendix definitely tested our strength. We were both so sick and unable to take care of each other. I have to admit I stepped it up and did my best. He tells me I was a good nurse! I'll take that as a compliment!

I will post belly pics as it grows. Right now I have a lot of bloat and it's so not pretty so I do not want to post. We did get to see the little bean on an u/s the other week and it was pretty surreal. We have an amazing and scary ride ahead of us....hope we're ready :)
